Alicia is from Las Vegas, Nevada and a second year Viticulture and Enology graduate student at UC Davis. She graduated from Santa Clara University with two Bachelors of Science, Economics and Biology. While in undergrad she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, which caused her to fall further in love with science, wine, and travel. In the years following undergrad, she worked for an organ procurement organization and realized life is too short to not follow passion. In search of combining her love for wine, science, art, innovation, and business she found the masters program in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. At UC Davis, she found a way to use her Economics degree by enrolling in the course Economics of Sustainable Agriculture taught by Dr. Sumner in 2016. Since then she has become a Graduate Student Researcher in the Agricultural Issues Center.
